Janika's Baptism

Janika turned 8 in August and in the LDS church that is the age of accountability and a child may be baptized and become a member of the church, if they choose.
Janika has been learning her whole life of the church and what it means to be baptized. She was ready for this day.

Sam and I are very proud of this little girl and the decision that she has made to be baptized. She is an amazing little girl. Her siblings look up to her and her great example.

We had fun taking pictures in our back yard with Janika in her baptism dress, that I made her. I love this picture with we blessing dress. It's a very special dress, my mom and I both wore it for our blessing.

Sam was able to baptize Janika and yes he cried.

It was a great day for you family and we look forward to more special days like this.

First Day of School for 3 of The Kids

Janika and Kylie were defiantly ready for school to start back up. They met their teachers the week before and loved them. Kylie was very excited to be at school all day this year, mostly to have school lunch. She'll soon realize that its not all that good, especial for a some what picky eater. Kylie was also excited to ride the bus this year. Janika loves having things to do every minute of the day, so she's been a little bored this summer. They both come home with big smiles and lots to say about their first day.

Xander was so excited to go to school. He wanted to walk there by himself, keep in mind its about  1 1/2 miles from our house. I talked him into only our street and the preschool street.
