It has Started

Xander started walking this past week and it has gotten crazy at our house. He still likes to crawl but he has learned to climb. he climbs everything, like the table and the couch. His favorite time to climb the table is right after dinner and eat what the girls didn't.

Merry Christmas

We started our Christmas with the tradition of pj's on Christmas eve and then decorating cookies for Santa. Santa loved his cookies loaded with frosting. On Christmas day we were able to sleep in till 8, Sam and I where very shocked. The kids had a blast opening presents. Santa brought them suitcases full of Disney stuff. That is how we told them that we were going to Disneyworld. I expected them to be jumping up and down and they didn't. They were in such shock that they just stood there. It has finally sunken in and they are very excited. Xanders favorite present was his Buzz as you can see in the pictures.
I guess he loves peanut shells

The girls playing with their tea set in the skirts that I made them.

The girls got these dress from their adopted grandparents.

Visit From Santa

About 9 last night we heard a knock at the door. We were all very surprised to see Santa when we opened to door. He came to see if the girls were still behaving and taking care of their toys. The girls where so excited to see Santa they didn't want to go to bed. Janika went up stairs and cleaned her playroom and her room, to show Santa that she takes care of her toys. Xander and Kylie weren't sure about everything, as you can see in the pictures. Kylie was sad after that she didn't give him a hug.

The Keeper of the Presents

Xander has done very well with the Christmas tree and all the presents under it. We haven't had any open by him. I have a friend that curses me for have such a good 1 year old. Most of my friends with young kids can't put presents under the tree. I say it's because I beat my children. But the true reason was found the other day. The keeper of the presents is Maxi our very fat black cat. She has no claws, and her tummy jiggles when she moves, but she must be very intimidating to Xander.
I just hope there's nothing breakable under her.

Janika's last b-ball game

Janika had her last basketball game and did very well. She scored 3 points. The last picture isJjanika scoring a point. All the girls have their hands up but Janika really made the point. Janika started the season out not able to dribble and dancing with the other team(gaurding) and know she can dribble all the way do the court and make a point. I look forward to next year and the many points made by my basketball star:)

Janika's Christmas Program

Janika had her first Christmas program at school. Janika was very excited about this day. For the past month all month we have been hearing Christmas songs. Janika did a very good job singing and being cute. I recorded it so that Sam could see it, he's in Texas. The video is short and shows Janika singing her part.

Gingerbread Village

For FHE we made gingerbread houses. The girls had a blast decorating the houses and eating the candy. I'm not sure which got more candy the houses or the girl. Xander wanted to help so bad. We let him help by eating the candy.

Lights in the South Hill

The other day as family we went to the South Hills to see the lights. For those not from the Twin area, there's a house in the middle of the hills with on a few neighbor mostly cows and sage brush. the man there has so may light to attract people to drive all the way out there. He adds new lights every year, Santa is there the week of Christmas, and he has a camel the kids can feed. There is no charge, but there is a tip box to help him pay his electric bill. We go every year and the kids love it. Sam's favorite was the Santa on ther motorcycle and the Homer Simpson lights. Janika loved Rudolph, Kylie loved the cupcake lights, and Xander loved EVERY Light. My favorite is the camel, but the kids weren't in to him at all.

Festival of Tree

Every year Sam's office decorated a tree for the Festival of Trees which benefits the local hospital. This year's theme they picked was "Family Game Night". The ornaments are made out of old game pieces that we have been collecting through out the year. The skirt is the boards from the games. The tree topper is Mr Potatohead as Santa. The pictures don't did it justice. They did an amazing job. It was one of the few that
wasn't a Christmas theme.

Snowman

We have had a lot of snow in the past week. We even got a snow day out of it. As a family we have been enjoying the snow. The girls made their first snowman. I know Janika's 5 and just built her first snowman. We haven't got this much snow all at once since we moved back to Twin.

Janika got the great idea to take the sled down the slide, it didn't end how I thought.

Thanks Giving

I lost my pictures from thanksgiving and found them today and thought I probly should post them. The girls made their own turkey shirts for the special day. They thought it was cool to color on their clothes. I had found the idea on a blog and knew it was prefect for my girls. As for thanksgiving we had a small but fun thanksgiving. It was us, Sam's friend Erik from Chiropractic school, and then Adams. It was a great day of food, 5 pies, fun, and laughter.
