We're Home

We finally we're approved to head home, so we caught the first flight out on Saturday. After 3 different planes we arrive in Twin Falls. The kids were so excited to meet their new baby sister.  They were in love.

The next week we spent getting use to having a baby in the house. The kids spent a lot of time holding and spoiling Lilya . Xander was the most excited for mommy and Lilya home. Every time I left he had to make sure I was coming back, it was cute and sad all at the same time.

Released from Hospital to Wait

Lilya was release from the hospital on the 5th, the day after birth. It was great to be leave the hospital, that meant that papers had been signed and we had a health baby.
We spent the next week loving on your little girl and relearning night feedings. Going from 8 hours of sleep a night to not much at all is a little hard on the body.

It's a Baby .........

In the middle of August we were match with a birthmother in Mississippi, due September 29th. M was 34 weeks along and was further along than she had ever been with any of her other pregnancies. All of her babies came between 24 and 30 weeks. She was expecting to deliver any day. Due to the adoption laws in Mississippi we relocated M and her 2 year old C to Wichita, KS. Everyone thought that she was for sure going to go into labor then due to the stress of the flight with a 2 year old, but no. M and C got everything settled in Kansas, thanks to our adoption lady, JoAnn.  So in Idaho we got everything in order to leave at any moment. I got as much as I could out for a baby, we didn't know if the baby was a boy or girl. Each week I would call and no sight of baby. I think the baby was waiting for us to get through all of the craziness of September, starting school, Janika's baptism, soccer and Ty's wedding the 29th. Finally after a month and a half of waiting the doctor scheduled a c-section for Oct 4th.

On the 3rd I few out to Ks, so that I could be right there when this little baby came. On Friday the 4th, I got in the car with JoAnn and we headed to pick up M. I was so nervous, I hadn't met M before or even talked to her, due to her request. She thought it would be too hard/emotional for her at the time. The second we met and hugged, we had an instant connection. We headed to the hospital and there we talked and talked. We had a great time getting to know each other while we waited for the doctors. We were having so much fun in her room that one of the med students stayed with us and even after the delivery. That med student will be a great doctor.
At about 1 they took M in for the c-section. I didn't go, she had wanted JoAnn there. They had grown close in the past month and half. So I waited in my own room for the baby. M didn't want to see the baby, so it was taken right out of the operating room right away. Just after 2, I could hear a baby crying down the hall. I ran to the door and saw the nurses coming with the baby. I then yelled, "what is it", and they yell
It's a Girl!
This is Lylia Grace-Iris

Born Friday, Oct 4th at 2:04pm
8 lbs 2oz, 19 inches
The delivery went very well, both mom and baby did great. After the nurses cleaned Lilya up, I got to hold her for the first time. It was love at first site. She was perfect. The perfect way to end our family, with a little princess.

Sam and I sent the next day at the hospital with our new little girl enjoying every minute. I also had several visits with M helping her get through some of the emotional parts of placing a baby. She is an amazing Mom, who had a hard decision to make. I hope that I can be everything that M wants me to be for this sweet baby. We love you M and treasure every moment we had with you.

Kylie Loves Soccer

Kylie's sport is soccer, she loves it. She amazing me every season with here skills. She is very smart, rather than stay in bunch of girls randomly kicking the ball, she goes around the group and gets in front.
This season she made many goals and many dollars come out of my pocket.
She had a fun and very enthusiastic coach, Kylie loved her.
Good Job Kylie!

Tyler's and Kelsey's Wedding

Congratulation Tyler & Kelsey
My little brother Ty got married this past weekend to his beautiful bride Kelsey. The wedding was in Tahoe City in California, it was beautiful. All of us kids were there and of course there was pictures and lots of them. Ok the pictures were for the wedding with us in a few.

I think the last time I had pictures with my brothers was 10 years ago. I love these pictures.

All the siblings and in-laws. Sam said that this was the first and last time he will be the tallest in the picture. All the men in my family are over 6ft.
Papa with all his girls.
O yea, my dad was the one that married them, it was pretty cool. My dad didn't think so the months leading to the wedding. He was very nervous. He did a fantastic job.
Xander was the ring barer with his cousin Wynter as flower girl. They were sooo cute together and as always they were attached at the hip the whole wedding.

A picture that we will treasure, everyone together.
I can't believe we actually got a picture with everyone looking, amazing!

I love these two pictures, my Dad and 5 of his 7 siblings. I love my aunts and uncles they always know how to have fun. And yes that's my dad in the pink hat.

What's a wedding without dancing. This was the girls' favorite part.
