Who's B-day is it?

Sam's turning 30 this year and I thought it would be fun to have a birthday party for him. His sister Laura was in town and it was the prefect time to have a party. We all had a great time with the old man. Looking back at the pictures you might think its Xanders B-day. He loved the cake so much that Sam let him attach the cake.

4th of July

Happy 4th of July. We started our 4th of July weekend with the Buhl parade on Saturday. Janika's favorite part was the cheerleaders, Kylie the Horses, and Xander the fire trucks mostly because of the loud siren and a cinnamon bear candy. Then in the evening we went to a friends for a BBQ, games, and a home firework show. Then today we ended with our own fireworks in the cul-de-sac and then watch the city firework also from the cul-de-sac. It was a great weekend.

Angus Family Reunion

A couple of weeks ago we went to Albion for a family reunion. We stayed at the old campus there now called Campus Grove. They have done a very good job restoring the buildings. We all had a great time. I have a large family with kids of all ages, so the girls had plenty of kids to play with. Janika's favorite thing to do was to ride the banana bikes. It took her a while to figure out the steering but when she did we couldn't keep her off of it. We also went the city of rocks and had a great time.

Last Day of Swimming Lessons

The girls finish their first session of swimming lessons yesterday. They both have done very well and have learned a lot. They both did well and now will put their head in the water. As part of the lasts day fun they got to go off the diving board. They have never done this before. Kylie didn't want to go. Janika did want to, but as you can see in the pictures she tried to back out of it. She now has scratches up and down her arms.

Janika the Amazing

Janika has been riding her bike with one training wheel for about two weeks and has been doing very well. But yesterday she asked for her training wheel off. At first she kept putting her feet down as soon as I would let go of her. Then I told her that if she would keep pedaling fast that she could do it and she did. She spent the rest of the evening riding her bike. She is very proud of her self. All of her friends that just learned to ride with out training wheels are 6 and she only 4. She keeps tell me that she's amazing because she learned before she turned 5. Sam and I are very proud of her, she's amazing little girl that can do anything if she puts her mind to it.

First Day of Swimming Lessons

Today was the firsts day of swim lesson for the girls They had a blast and can't stop talking about their teacher. The pool people didn't want the parents to be to close to the kids so I tried to zoom in as close as I could.

Preschool Graduation

Janika had Preschool Graduation today. For the past year we have been doing an at home preschool with a couple for other mothers. The program is called Mother Goose Time, I would recommend it to anyone. Janika was very excited for today, one more step to kindergarten, in her mind.
