Happy Easter!

Today was a great day with the family. We started the day very early thanks to Janika who came into our room screaming "It's Easter, everyone get up". The kids enjoyed finding their Easter baskets filled with candy and Easter clothes. Xander got some new cars and hasn't let go of them all day. And the girls got roller skates and have been falling on their butts all day. Lets just say we have been laughing a lot today. This year the Easter bunny hid the egg outside. The kids enjoyed all the silly places the Easter Bunny hid the eggs.. The kids now are on a sugar high from all of the jelly beans and chocolate eggs, but its Easter why not. Sam and I's favorite part of Easter is the food. We started the morning with yummy warm cinnamon rolls. Then for dinner we had the traditional dinner of ham, potatoes, roll, and ect. There's a yummy banana cream pie in the fridge right now just wanting to be eaten. But first we all have to take our Easter nap.

Easter Fun

The past few days we have been enjoying some Easter activities. Yesterday the kids and I had a great time at Easter egg hunt at a friend's house. This was Xander's first egg hunt. He didn't get it at first, then I told him to get the balls and he was all over that. The girls had a blast also. Janika got all of her eggs before I could even get a picture, so all I got was her with her eggs.

Today we spent the day as a family enjoying the great weather and getting ready for Easter. The kids had a blast coloring the eggs. Most of our eggs are cracked from Xander dropping them in the cups. He loved pulling them out and seeing the different colors. Sam even got involved with a Superman egg. While the eggs were sitting in the die, Sam built a fire. The kids have been asking for one for weeks and we finally got some wood(thanks Polly). The fire pit has been the best purchase, the kids love it and it get the whole family out side and talking. Xander was really cute with the fire, he had to tell everyone that it was HOT over and over again.

I Just Want to Scream

Why do I want to scream? Well today Xander helped me with the laundry today. He loves to help put the clothes in the dryer. I had been doing laundry all day and I was on my last load of church bags/backpacks. Xander was helping me put every thing in and when helping he put a blue permanent marker in with the bags. And of course i didn't see it. It was in the dryer coloring a way. The picture below is what I found. Thank goodness for the magic eraser. I have started to clean it and it's slowing coming out. I have only cleaned 1/4 of it and it's going to take awhile to get it all out. I don't know what I'm going to with this kid. He's only 18 months and a little to helpful. I know this isn't the end and it just going to be worse with 2 boys. All I can say is PLEASE pray for me.

Xander the Monster

Tonight was a bad mother night. We had gone out to breakfast this morning and when getting the kids ready I forgot to drain the water out of the tub. The water sat all day in the tub until tonight. Kylie and Xander were upstairs laughing, I figured they were just playing and having fun with each other. Little did I know, Xander had gotten in the tub when Kylie was brushing her teeth. He was in the tub with his socks and diaper having a blast. The water was freezing cold and he was shivering, but was having a blast. He threw a fit when I pulled him out, crazy kid.

Xander's New Toy

The girls love to play dress up and always want to put Xander in one of their dresses. Xander loves it just as much as they do. He loves the necklaces and the high heels. The kid even loves to have a his hair done, hair spray and all. We all have a good laugh when the girls dress him up but it was time for him to get his own dress-up things. Today a  friend and I made reversible capes, one side Batman and the other Superman. I haven't decided who likes it more Xander or Sam. Yes, Sam was wearing it today.

Happy St. Patty's Day

Happy St. Patty's day! The kids woke up pinching every one. I then set the rule of no pinching until everyone was dress. After taking Janika to school, we headed to the nieghbors to help decorate a float for the parade. Our neighbor had got a spot in the parade and invited us to be on it. The kids had a blast being in the parade. They didn't even care that they didn't see the rest of the parade. Janika had both hands waving so not to miss any one. Kylie loved waving but spent most of the time starring at the Fox behind us. Xander loved the balloons on the float and every so often he would wave. Xander really like the green poodle that was walking with the float behind us, the whole time he was saying dog.

Getting Ready

For the past 2 1/2 weeks I have been working on the new babies blankets. I have made blankets for all of my kids, one that I have sewed and one crocheted blanket. So, as soon as we got the word of the new baby I started the blankets for the little guy. I sewed a rag blanket for him that will go prefect in his room. I made it out of some of the left over fabric from Xander's blanket and mixed in a lot of new. The boys will have blankets that go together, but unique. Then I started to crochet a beautiful blanket for him. I set a record for my self and made it in 9 days. After I finished the blankets I set up the crib, and I love how it turned out.
